Uncertaintyville (Cancerventures)

“My times are in Your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.”

Psalm 31:15

(Cancerventures Book Excerpt):

…I frequently go to the place of grace while residing in Cancer-land, Uncertaintyville, and possibly even, Recurrence City. I ask for forgiveness. I try to connect to my Creator’s love, mercy, and Omnipotence. And I desire meaning in this thing, called my life, despite my imperfect, cluttered psyche.

Life is, after all, about meaning.

Philippians 2:12…

“…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

Each of us encounters something beyond the concrete and finite. It’s cliché mystery of human existence stuff. Each human wrestling match strives to discover “why?” Getting in a tussle with one’s Creator is not exactly comforting. Yet, that’s the essence of faith. Struggling for meaning- and even salvation- when you don’t have visible evidence.

We all experience Uncertaintyville and do our own personal wrestling, with or without cancer…
