Mommy Issues (“Hello, Gentlemen…”)
With the male inmate population, perhaps, most of us are not surprised that there would be “Mommy Issues” going on.
And again, we can have more in common with “them” than we initially think.
For any human being, behaviors, habits, choices, and heart issues begin in childhhood
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Many of “them,” like many of “us,” do not get the mothering we need. There may, indeed, be the ABSENCE of The Fruit of the Spirit…
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
As we consider what we have in common “with them,” we also have the opportunity to turn to OUR FATHER, Who Loves us AS a Loving MOTHER…
“As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you...”
Isaiah 66:13
Let’s get closer TO that eternal Truth, for healing, for understanding, and even, for an insight into “them.”
“Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.”
