Forsaken? (“The Name Devotional”)

“…‘My YHWH , my YHWH, why have You forsaken me, far away from my salvation, from the words of my roaring?’”

Psalm 22:22

How many of us have felt rejected?

How many of us feel that right now?

The Name of The Most High may seem intimidating and oppressive.

We may feel that not only people have rejected us, but the very Sovereign of the Universe, Himself!

But there is more going on than what we see and feel.

(“The Name Devotional” Excerpt):

Abba,

I come to You, feeling forsaken hopeless, and lost.

You know everything about my life and where I am IN it.

You know my crying out to You, even if I never uttered words, let alone, Your Glorious Name.

You know. You know.

Forgive me for all the times I have disregarded, and yes, forsaken You.

Thankfully, You do not behave as I do.

You are more loving, more gracious, more merciful, more attentive, and more patient than I am.

Thank You for that.

Thank You for hearing me cry out to You.

Help me to know more about Your Name, The Name I’m crying out to.

Help me to know You.

I am desperate.

I need You.

Thank You that You answer me.

Amen.
