Fight! (“Hello, Gentlemen…”)

It’s not a surprise that fighting can result in incarceration.

‍ ‍

A fight with the weapon of choice. Assault and battery. Violence.

‍ ‍

“Fight” is more complicated, however, than these terms.

‍ ‍

“Fight” is a trauma response; we have heard “Fight or flight” a lot in this culture.

‍ ‍

What drives it though?

‍ ‍

And how does it impact someone “in prison?”

‍ ‍

There’s more to it than simply “fighting.”

‍ ‍

“Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.”

Hebrews 13:3
